Year 10 – July

Job update: I got a job offer from Huntington Bank! This really feels like a job that could be career defining. I’m going to lead their events team and help them get structured and grow in the future. Huntington Bank is growing and it’s going to be refreshing to be with a company that is growing, which I haven’t had in a while. I will probably always remember the moment when I got the call telling me that I got the job. I definitely cried tears of joy, happiness, and relief. I can’t express in words how much of a relief it is knowing that I’m going to have a good job again. This will allow us to have a better stable income, good health insurance, and do the things we want to do as a family. This also means we can go to Florida, which we aren’t going to tell you and Houston until right before we leave 🙂

Big Lots was a very big part of our life these past eight years. It’s the reason we moved to, and fell in love with, Columbus. We have so many great memories at the different events and visits to the office. I’m going to miss certain aspects of the office (mainly the few people that are left), but everything that happened with the bankruptcy and the new ownership really left a sour taste in my mouth.

I start my job on July 21, so let the fun begin….here’s to new beginnings!
