Year 7 – July 2022
I won a giant inflatable water park at work and it’s awesome! We paid $20 for some raffle tickets and this thing is worth about $500.
Things you’re loving:
- Michael’s Arts and Crafts store – most people call it Michael’s, but you say the whole name
Year 7 – August 2022
I can’t believe you are in first grade! School started this month and it has been quite the adjustment for you. You are now going full-time and it’s a really long day for you. You love the actual school work and seeing friends, but almost 7 hours is tough for you and you start to really miss your mom. You have never been gone this long or away from your mom and it’s a tough adjustment. You cry a little at night and then again in the morning, and sometimes during school. It’s hard on her (and me) to see you like this, but we know you’ll get over it and it’s just a phase. It still breaks our heart to see you so sad!
Mom has been taking you and Houston to Blendon Woods alot after school, which is fun! I try to meet you up there when i can. We also got some nets from the dollar store because you wanted to catch some fish. You loved it!
What else is going on in the world:
- COVID is still around, but not as bad as it has been. We have started going to restaurants, but we still wear masks in stores.
Year 7 – September 2022
School is still a little bit of a struggle for you because you miss your mom. You do really great once you get inside and go about your school work, but you’ve been crying alot once you get to the doors. It’s heartbreaking to see you like this right now, but I keep telling your mom that it’s just a phase and you’ll get through it because you’re brave!
